Individual Music Therapy Support

(CURRENTLY HOME VISIT ONLY ON THE SUNSHINE COAST)

Soundtrack Music Therapy currently offers individual support for those over the age of 14 years, specialising in the below:

Parents & Perinatal

Are you seeking support for yourself as a parent/couple/family navigating pregnancy/parenthood, or to connect better with your infant? Soundtrack Music Therapy gently supports parents in building a warm, connected relationship with their baby through understanding cues, nurturing settling strategies, and easing the transition home—especially for families with pre-term or medically complex infants. With compassionate guidance, parents receive support to navigate anxiety, stress, and identity changes, while babies benefit from developmental music therapy tailored to their unique needs. Together, we explore music as a source of comfort, confidence, and wellbeing throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early journey of parenthood.

Adult Mental Health

Are you an adult seeking support for mental health concerns such as anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief or depression? Music therapy offers a compassionate space for adults to explore emotions, reduce stress, and reconnect with themselves through creative expression. It nurtures mental wellbeing by using music to promote relaxation and regulation, self-expression, and emotional healing in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Young People Mental Health (14-25)

Music therapy offers young people a safe and creative space to express themselves, process emotions and build confidence while navigating life’s challenges. Through music-making, listening, and reflection, they can explore their identity/gender dysphoria, manage anxiety and heal from experiences such as trauma, bullying, or eating disorders. Music therapy supports emotional growth, self-understanding, and confidence in facing work, study, and personal challenges.

Palliative Care

Music therapy in palliative care offers emotional and spiritual support, helping to reduce anxiety, pain perception, and feelings of isolation. Personalised music experiences can facilitate relaxation, self-expression and communication, ultimately enhancing the patient's quality of life and closure.
